We will be considering numerous subjects during the legislative interim. Here is a list of a few subjects:

Business and Labor Committee: Alcohol Policies

Health and Human Services Committee: Medical Marijuana, End of Life Options, Access to Health Care

Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Committee: Death Penalty

Government Operations Committee: Election Day Voter Registration Pilot Project, Caucus and Primary Process

For more information on all topics being studied during the interim, use Utah State Legislature’s website.

Legislation and Activities I am working on currently:

  1. Partnering with the Postal Service and State Departments; conversation of state services being available at your local post office.

  2. Legislation to further secure your children’s school records.

  3. Transparency about responsibilities of your local water districts and the responsibilities of the homeowner.

  4. Gathering support for a “Job Fair” to expose and highlight “High Skilled Trades” for the growing manufacturing business coming to our area. This is an exciting venture coming to the Maverick Center in the fall.

Honored to receive kudos from the Taxpayers Association. And, the Salt Lake Chamber recognized me for prioritizing the success of Utah’s economy with the 2016 Business Champion award.
