My Bills This Week:
Metro Township Amendments
SB138: This bill lays out certain rules regarding the creation and implementation of townships. To learn more, attend my upcoming Town Hall meetings (details below).
Utah First Economic Development Amendments
SB164: This bill directs the Governor’s Office of Economic Development to promote and encourage the employment of Utah workers, the purchase of Utah goods, and the growth of Utah businesses.
Scholarships for Public Safety Officers
SB165: This bill allocates $200,000 every year to a scholarship fund for our state’s police officers. Because pay is often low for our officers, this fund will help them achieve the higher education they need and desire.
These three bills are all on the Senate Second Reading Calendar, to be read on the Senate floor in the near future.
